Comfort by Design: Discovering Your Mind's Ability to Influence Comfort

  • Society For Learning In Retirement (SLR) 1434 Graham Street Kelowna, British Columbia, V1Y 3A8 Canada (map)

Living with discomfort can be exhausting. Whether your discomfort is occasional, ongoing, physical, emotional, or stress-related, many people are surprised to learn that the brain plays a significant role in how sensations are experienced. While hypnosis is not a cure for medical conditions, a focused-state of attention can be a powerful tool for influencing how discomfort is perceived and experienced.

In this engaging and experiential workshop, participants will discover how hypnosis and other mind-body techniques can help reduce stress, increase relaxation, and develop a greater sense of comfort and control. You will learn how attention, thoughts, emotions, expectations, and past experiences can influence comfort levels and how specific techniques can be used to work with these processes.

Through guided exercises and demonstrations, attendees will experience practical tools that may help them become less focused on discomfort, increase feelings of ease, and access their own natural abilities to create greater comfort and well-being.

Join me, at Kelowna’s Society for Learning in Retirement, and discover resources that you have within you. Registration for this event is through SLR’s website!
